Does the Côte d’Azur in Paris exist ? Yes thanks to Ginette. She opened in 1923, just at the foot of Montmartre, “Chez Ginette de la Côte d’Azur” a nice and friendly place to discover.

Only seasonal products

On a walk in Montmartre ? Stop off at Chez Ginette on the Côte d’Azur, a stone’s throw from the Lamarck metro station. A tavern created in 1923, a haunt of artists of the time, this establishment bears the traces of the Paris of yesterday. Now completely renovated, the restaurant welcomes you in an original setting : cast iron mirrors, trompe-l’œil, leather sofas, Formica tables and paintings by Ginette on the walls… Unlike many restaurants in very touristy places like Montmartre, the chef, Aurélien Braguier, is responsible for cooking fresh, seasonal products, with a menu that changes every month.

A bistro cuisine

It is a bistro cuisine with its grand codes, but always mixed with southern touches, a small menu with five starters, six main courses, four desserts. This restaurant offers light and good dishes: fish with flavors mixed with herbs and spices, tasty meats, sandwiches with the flavors of Provence. In fine weather, you will enjoy a small terrace that wraps around the Montmartre hill. Perfect for a Sunday lunch before setting off to conquer the Sacré-Coeur.
