Listed among the most beautiful sites in the Var, the medieval village of Bormes les les Mimosas is an essential discovery stopover for history buffs ! Located at an altitude of 324m, it is a very popular walking theme for hikers. From the “Isclou d’Amour” or “Poulid Cantoun” square to the “Ruelle des Sarrasins”, the “Rompi Cuou” street, or the “Venelle des Amoureux“, the surprise will be there: period architecture, sculpted porches, facades patinated in the colors of the South, vaults sheltering flea markets, small workshops or hatters… you will have to discover, to admire.

The best way to discover the charms of the old village is to wander around its many alleys and squares, bathed in sunshine, perfumed by the sweet scents of mimosas, jasmine or wisteria, they know how to seduce with their intimate atmospheres and muffled and are a moment of pure happiness for the senses.

Place de l’Isclou d’Amour Typical Provençal square with its central fountain which brings a note of freshness. This square enjoys a remarkable view over the roofs of the village, the port of Bormes, the islands of Levant and Port Cros.

You will have to climb a little before arriving at the Notre-Dame de Constance chapel. Built on the heights of Bormes-les-Mimosas, at an altitude of 324m, it above all allows its visitors to admire a breathtaking view of the Bormean valley and its surroundings. Inside the chapel, you can discover a collection of stained glass depicting the life of Christ. By following the path leading to the chapel, you will also take the opportunity to admire the remains of the Château des Seigneurs de Fos, a building built between the 13th and 14th centuries and now classified as historical monuments. Unfortunately, the site being private, visits are not authorized.
