Café by day and piano-bar by night, “Gainsbarre” is soon opening within Maison Gainsbourg, artist’s home turned into a museum about him.
Overdue for several months
The grand opening of the Maison Gainsbourg has been long overdue for several months, but the private mansion of the Cabbage-headed Man should indeed open its doors to the public very soon. To make us salivate a little more, the team of the house that has become a museum tells us a little more about the piano-bar café that will open its doors at the same time.

A piano-bar
Called the Gainsbarre, in homage to the alter-ego of the artist, this new spot is likely to attract crowds from its inauguration. With a café atmosphere during the day and a piano-bar atmosphere after dark, this place will be the true reflection of the first years of Gainsbourg’s career during which he officiated as a pianist with Flavio in Le Touquet. During the day, the Gainsbarre will offer breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas, giving way to a cocktail bar and restaurant in the evening.
