On March 6, 2022, Disneyland Paris celebrated its 30th anniversary. And for the occasion, the amusement park has seen things big !
A magical show
Disneyland Paris opened its doors on April 12, 1992, and after years of planning, it has become, three decades later, the number one tourist destination in Europe. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Disneyland Paris has – logically – designed a brand new show. To discover ? A unique show organized around 3 themes, featuring 30 Disney characters – including Princess Rapunzel, Jessie and Woody from Toy Story, Genie from Aladdin… – and dancers, new floats and a new musical anthem! Real stars of the show, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and their friends have benefited from special treatment and will be wearing new costumes… And that’s not all: the traditional sound and light projected at nightfall has also been completely revised and highlights the prowess of technology: video projection, luminous water jets, light effects, mist, lasers, famous Disney music, and even drone choreography: enough to amaze the spectators !
New fairy gardens
If Disneyland Paris fascinates with its attractions, the decor is just as amazing. For its 30th anniversary, the park wanted to go all out by designing new ‘Fairy Gardens‘, installed in front of the Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant. These will serve as a showcase for some thirty works of art designed especially for the occasion. Thirty moving sculptures representing Disney and Pixar characters in a stylized way will thus be scattered in 10 gardens such as the Asian Garden – where you should come across Mushu (Mulan), Sisu (Raya and the Last Dragon), or even Baymax (The New Heroes)… On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the park, Mickey’s companion offers the services of Stella McCartney to create the costume of the emblematic Minnie! A costume that Minnie will put on throughout the month of March to stroll through Walt Disney Studios Park. Stella McCartney will not only dress Minnie but will also unveil an exclusive T-shirt and a capsule collection inspired by the cult film Fantasia…
