Carette Paris is an institution in Paris. Art Deco style, with a pretty terrace on Place du Trocadéro, it is a very popular place for Parisians.
Roaring Twenties style
Carette opened its doors in 1927. At that time, Jean Carette and his wife Madeleine moved to Place du Trocadéro, opening their eponymous pastry shop there. Very quickly, Parisians flocked there to discover one of the most beautiful pastries in Paris. If over the years, Carette has remained true to itself with its simple, warm welcome and its know-how, at the turn of the century, the legendary pastry shop offered itself a little beauty. From then on, Parisians were able to marvel at its decor, which divinely blends classicism with the Roaring Twenties style.
Carette Paris embodies the French lifestyle
Then, Carette grew by establishing itself under the beautiful arcades of the Place des Vosges. Decorated with care by Hubert de Givenchy, the Carette tea rooms offer an Art Deco-inspired decor. Majestic mirrors, chandeliers, gilded moldings, marble pedestal tables… Carette’s two sumptuous addresses take us on a magical journey to the 1930s. Nearly 100 years later, the Carette tea rooms have become veritable Parisian institutions. In these places embodying the French lifestyle, fine Parisian palates and passing gourmets treat themselves to a delicious and refined break. Brunch, breakfast, snack…
The good taste of authenticity
if the Carette tea rooms have become very popular with Instagrammers, the beauty and the good taste of authenticity go hand in hand there with certainty. Carette is particularly famous for its macaroons, its pastries in general, its hot chocolate, its scrambled eggs, its brunch and its small sandwiches with crumbs of bread. In 2010, Carette opened a new address extremely well located under the arcades of Place des Vosges. Here too the decoration is neat and the terrace very pleasant. Carette has two tea rooms and a pastry shop in Paris. They are all three located in very touristy areas of Paris. The 2 Carette tea rooms are open 7 days a week and have the advantage of being open very late at night.
