From November 20, the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte lights up and transforms into an enchanting palace of a thousand colors, with this year, Jean de la Fontaine in the spotlight.
A magnificent spectacle of lights
For eight minutes, once night has fallen, a monumental projection takes visitors into the history of the castle. The magnificent frames inspired a construction scene, while the ball where animals dance is a tribute to Jean de la Fontaine, who frequented the place. The castle is adorned with thousands of decorations and lights, plunging the visitor into the magical world of the fabulist … Animals and fables will be in the spotlight to delight young and old children: the courtyards, the outbuildings, the castle and the garden à la française are transformed into a wonderful world where illuminations and animations offer the promise of an enchanted break for the whole family.

The Musée des équipages is not set aside for the festivities. Carriages and horses have put on their best clothes to offer you an enchanting spectacle. The cars of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries light up and take you away for a moment full of magic. For the more adventurous, the quest for the sword will give them an unforgettable experience. A real treasure hunt through the estate, and leading them to a well-deserved snack. And to top it off, a surprise gift awaits them. It’s Christmas before it’s time!
