Pierre Niney returns to the screens with “Amants”, a tragedy in the form of a thriller with Stacy Martin and Benoît Magimel. A strong and refined work.
A film by Nicole Garcia
The plot, co-written by Nicole Garcia and Jacques Fieschi, follows the couple Lisa (Stacy Martin) and Simon (Pierre Niney). The two have loved each other passionately since their teenage years and lead the urban and nightlife of people their age. But after an evening that turns badly and whose outcome is none other than prison for Simon, Simon decides to flee. Lisa then waits for news from Simon which will never come … Three years later, in the Indian Ocean, she is married to Léo (Benoit Magimel) when their destinies cross again … This love triangle, where romance mingle and feelings, takes shape in three acts, where the shadows of thriller and tragedy hover, taking us from Paris to Geneva via the Indian Ocean.
A tragic love triangle
Like two magnets, Lisa and Simon always find each other. But “Amants” is the story of a tragic love and the portrait of a woman destroyed by the omnipresence of men around her. Stacy Martin is fond of Pierre Niney, but Benoît Magimel is in between… Between the Indian Ocean and Geneva, the trio will take us on a journey and exhibit magnificent landscapes, giving way to crime, jealousy and betrayal. A romantic and brutal feature film that grabs us from start to finish.
