Every year on June 23, Olympic Day is celebrated around the world. This year, in order to allow as many people as possible to take part, Paris 2024 has chosen to celebrate it on Sunday 26 June. On the outskirts of the Stade de France, tracks and sports fields, canal, fitted out for the occasion, are an invitation to wet the jersey. On the program, around thirty sports to discover throughout the day. Animated with the Olympic sports federations, demonstrations and initiations will be an invitation to move all together: swimming, rowing, football, rugby, golf, handball, fencing, archery, boxing, horse riding, table tennis… but also the new Olympic sports: breaking, skateboarding and climbing and Paralympic sports: boccia, sitting volleyball, wheelchair fencing.
New urban disciplines
Come and discover new urban disciplines and Olympic sports, but also practice, admire and meet great champions. This completely free event is a taste of the 2024 Olympics! Be dazzled by the Cultural Olympiads which highlight hip-hop dance through artistic performances and innovative shows. Take part in the race to hope to win a bib for the “Marathon pour Tous” of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in 2024 in Paris. And do not forget to linger at the entertainment center of the Parc de La Villette. Visits, walks and activities around sport are offered in the Paris Region to discover sports practices, disabled sports and the places that will host the athletes, the training sites and the Olympic events.
