Yann Couvreur is now making us drool in the Marais in Paris, his pretty boutique is one of the neighborhood’s unmissable sweet breaks.

A chef accustomed to palaces
At just forty years old, he is certainly one of the future great pastry chefs of tomorrow.
Desecralizing luxury, such is the goal of Yann Couvreur’s pastry shop which, through its two boutiques .
And yet, desecrating luxury should not necessarily be easy for the pastry chef accustomed to palaces since he cut his teeth at the Carré des Feuillants, the Park Hyatt or Burgundy or even at the Prince de Galles which he leaves to regain his freedom and to throw into his openings.
Freedom, another theme dear to Yann Couvreur who has chosen as the emblem of his stores an animal just as free, greedy, clever and wild as himself, the fox.

Unusual pastries where the pastry chef stocks his windows according to the times of the day. Pastries take pride of place in the morning, followed by easy desserts at 10 a.m. Then come the appearance of the 11 a.m. cakes, the pastry elopements made on the spot, the savory lunch break which will give way to travel cakes at snack time and desserts to share for the evening.
After 18 years in the profession, the pastry chef offers his recipes, of all levels, the fruit of his experiences and his creativity.

This Marais boutique gives pride of place to take-away products. In fact, no less than 4 points of sale are opening in this long boutique. We start with the pastry section on the left, which offers the famous Kouign-Amann and other rolled brioches from the chef. On the far left, a window displays fresh salads, fresh juices, gazpachos, fruit salads and spoon desserts. You also have a nice selection of teas and coffees to eat in or take away. This is the ideal corner for breakfast.
