Ingredients:
- 200g (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 200g (1 cup) granulated sugar

- 120ml (1/2 cup) milk
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp milk (for cocoa mixture)


Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift the flour and baking powder together, then gradually add to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
- Divide the batter into two equal portions. In one portion, mix the cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of milk until well incorporated.
- Layer the batters by alternating spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batter into the prepared pan.
- Create the marble effect by swirling a knife or skewer through the batter gently.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cake in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve and enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea!
