When we think of all the movies shot in Paris, Amélie is undoubtedly one of those who have had the greatest impact on our memories.
The Montmartre district is still imbued with the atmosphere of the film. Here are the must-see places for all fans of this cult film:
The cafe des deux moulins
The cafe des deux moulins is where Amélie Poulain (Audrey Tautou) works. The establishment, located in Montmartre near the Moulin Rouge and the Moulin de la Galette with its 1950s ambiance, is both a neighborhood bar and a friendly bistro with traditional cuisine. Lamarck-Caulaincourt Amélie Poulain offers a blind person an express guided tour of rue Lamarck. Once this is completed, Amélie leaves alone by the double stairs of the metro exit on rue Lamarck-Caulaincourt. It is also this metro that she takes to catch up with her lover.

The Abbesses station
In the almost deserted Abbesses station, Amélie is challenged by the sweet sounds of a song by Edith Piaf. In reality, the scene was shot at Porte des Lilas. The latter is in fact a ghost station, dedicated to filming and series, closed to the public since 1939, but visitable during Journées du patrimoine, each year in september.
Le marché de la butte
The Butte market is a food store where Lucien works and very close to Amélie Poulain’s home. The latter goes there especially during her investigation to find the grown child who owns the box of memories. This small store still exists and will welcome you for some shopping and a nice photo!
