The ballet troupe presents its brand new show at the Folies Bergère, “Alice, in wonderland”, from March 24 to April 10, 2022.
A free adapatation
“Alice in wonderland” is a very free adaptation, in ballet form by Moses Pendleton, of Lewis Carroll’s work . If it is not a faithful adaptation, this story is indeed the starting point of the show. Throughout her journey on the boards of the Folies Bergère, Alice will find her way in the midst of strange creatures and fantastic characters. Nothing more appropriate than the world of Lewis Carroll to give substance to the whimsical and singular imagination of artistic director Moses Pendleton. Dancers, both athletes and illusionists, find here a playground conducive to the expression of their creativity and their artistic personalities. And as always, shapes, colors and materials intertwine to create all the magic of the Momix universe.
