Alber Elbaz’s mantra
The Palais Galliera wishes to pay homage to Alber Elbaz by organizing an exhibition which reconstructs the fashio show and invites visitors to immerse themselves in this ephemeral universe by reproducing the order of passage, the effects, the music and the lights which made this evening a historic event. The title of “Love Brings Love” takes up a formula advocated by the fashion designer as a mantra. As a reaction to the isolation caused by the health crisis, this exhibition highlights the fraternity of designers gathered to celebrate the memory of one of their most brilliant representatives, the very charismatic designer. It’s an extraordinary show! Responding present: Olivier Rousteing, Hermès, Christian Dior, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Stella McCartney, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Donatella Versace, Dries Van Noten. In total, the 40 biggest names in couture salute his memory by creating an original outfit in tribute to their friend inspired by cult silhouettes and codes that make the Elbaz signature: bow ties, hearts, loose and short dresses…
