See you in Provins on June 25 and 26, 2022 for the biggest medieval festival in France! For 2 days, troubadours, acrobats and crowd entertainers will give you a timeless experience ! Find craftsmen, merchants and enthusiasts of medieval times scattered in the medieval city classified as World Heritage by Unesco. The Medieval of Provins (Seine-et-Marne) are a set of festivities taking place every year at the end of spring. During a weekend, nearly 100,000 people take part in the many activities on offer: parades, archery, dancing… this magical event has the theme this year of « The Builders ».

Dances, music, games, jousting, street performances

During this weekend, you can enjoy a real historical reconstruction of the famous Champagne Fairs which made the city famous in the 12th and 13th centuries, in the city classified as a UNESCO heritage site. On the program, activities and games of the Middle Ages, discovery of the trades of the time, and medieval ball, not what to get bored ! At the turn of the streets, you will come across troubadours, merchants and musicians, all passionate about medieval times, present to immerse you in a timeless experience! You can try many medieval games, such as puck, skittle or even wielding a wooden sword! Storytellers will evoke the beliefs and superstitions of the Middle Ages, between dragons, goblins and other chimeras. Dances, music, games, jousting, street performances and, of course, the great classics of the festival: the traditional medieval ball on the Place du Châtel, a large medieval concert and the unmissable Sunday parade with 700 people in medieval costume . To get to the medieval city, it is recommended to take the train in view of the large crowds during the medieval festivals (get off at the Provins SNCF station). Several bus lines in the area also serve the city. Otherwise, if you come by car, you can take the A4, A5 and A6 motorways as well as the N4.
