On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Institut du monde arabe opens its doors and collections to all. An exceptional weekend to discover Arab culture.

A rich culture
Permanent collections, conferences, guided tours, workshops, events… A program rich in activities to discover the Arab culture. The Institut du monde arabe opens its doors to make you travel to regions that are currently inaccessible – Yemen, Syria, the Sahara –, and others about to open their borders again to travelers such as Morocco and Tunisia . At the end of the course, we can celebrate our regained freedom to music around the feast table. The museum of the Arab World Institute presents a remarkable collection of coins, for the first time revealed to the public. It consists exclusively of dinars, gold coins, minted in the Arab-Muslim world between the 8th and 19th centuries. To discover, nearly 1100 pieces, including many rare, even unique mintings, which tell the complex history of the civilization of Islam
