The primary essence of Quai de la Photo, an art center dedicated to contemporary photography, is cultural and artistic. The ambition of the place is to introduce current innovative and original photography practices.

EXHIBITIONS WITH OPEN AND FREE ACCESS

Quai de la Photo thus offers exhibitions with free and open access, bringing together big names in photography and emerging artists, French and foreign. The exhibitions occupy all the spaces of the floating building, over a total surface area of ​​more than 1000 m2: the main deck, the gallery devoted entirely to the works, the terrace spread out on the banks in fine weather.

CULTURAL MEDIATION ACTIONS

Quai de la Photo is a space for exchanges and transmission, between photographers and the public, institutions and professionals. In addition to exhibitions, Quai de la Photo organizes various activities open to all, always with free and open access: guided tours, thematic conferences, workshops for children, among others.

Quai de la Photo welcomes La Comète, the photographic bookstore of Picto laboratories, which is boarding this new adventure after more than 15 years in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.
La Comète, a bookstore focused on images, offers an independent selection of photo books, from great classics to unclassifiable works, and events: workshops, signings, meetings.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS

Finally, to get started or deepen your knowledge, Quai de la Photo regularly organizes photography workshops in different formats:
• Introductory courses, particularly in the integrated professional studio.
• Photo cruises in small groups, to discover Paris from another angle.
• Quai de la Photo relies on a team of artistic advisors, eminent figures in photography, who contribute to the programming of exhibitions through the diversity and complementarity of their visions of contemporary creation.
