Question of the day ... In your opinion, why the macaroons are round?
There is a legend around the round shape. The history of the macaroon says that a monk used to knead almond paste with his shirt off. One day, very tired, he fell from exhaustion and left a mark of his navel on the dough. At this point, the button took the shape of a circle.
On the first Sunday in January, tradition has it that it is the occasion to "shoot the kings" at the epiphany: a bean is hidden in the cake and the person who obtains this bean becomes the king of the day and has the right to wear a fancy crown.
During the confinement, with Charlie and Suzie we had created this painting which represented the people who applauded at their window at 8 p.m., a beautiful creative moment with the children which had been made at the request of the singer Mathieu Chedid (M), world is a fan in our little family, to support popular relief. Since we had forgotten it a bit and today, we just had the happy surprise to see ourselves in the new clip of M :) Out of 1660 participations it was unexpected! It's stealthy but it will make a nice memory in addition to confinement for children 😍
Each year takes place in June in the magnificent city of Chantilly (where the famous Chantilly cream was invented), a very famous horse race, the Prix de Diane. On this occasion we can see superb fashion shows and a contest of the most beautiful hat. As a photographer it is a great opportunity to take pictures of horse races than of elegant ladies wearing hats. There are also many workshops (makeup, floral art ...). I never miss the Prix de Diane!
