Socio-cultural issues

The movie will retrace the life and work of Elvis Presley, but not from just any angle. The biopic will take as a bias to dig into the complex relationships existing between the sulphurous rock star and his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (played by Tom Hanks). The latter pushed the singer to make problematic career choices, including very bad romantic films. The feature film will also address the socio-cultural issues that have crossed the existence of the King, in particular the racial tensions that shook America in the 50s and 60s.
