Louboutin, the famous brand of shoes with red soles will be honored at a fabulous exhibition in Monaco .

A famous brand of shoes
Monaco will host the second part of the ambitious exhibition devoted to the illustrious Parisian shoemaker Louboutin. Entitled “The Exhibition[nist], chapter II“, it will follow in the footsteps of the memorable exhibition of 2020 in tribute to Christian Louboutin. The latter had taken place at the Palais de la Porte Dorée, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, but had been marked by several closures caused by the confinements and restrictions of the pandemic. This second Monegasque edition will be held exclusively during the summer: it will take place at the Grimaldi Forum from July 9 to August 28. The “Imaginary Museum” room, in particular, will house both the creator’s personal objects and pieces from public and private heritage from several museum collections in Le Rocher.

A lover of Art and Russain ballets
Other themes will also be explored, such as Christian Louboutin’s attachment to dance and his passion for African and Asian arts. With a “spectacular scenography”, this exhibition occupies more than 2,000 square meters and reserves a room of 300 square meters for the shoemaker’s “Imaginary Museum”, where objects from his personal collection dialogue with heritage and artistic works from public collections and deprived of Monegasque museums. A lover of art and Russian ballets, Christian Louboutin multiplies his sources of inspiration: the pop influences of Andy Warhol, the photography of Helmut Newton and the aquarium hobby, already mentioned above. An entire room of the exhibition will be devoted to the British artist Allen Jones, a pioneer of the pop movement and whose most recent creative stage is part of digitalization. Works by André Derain, Oscar Niemeyer, Ernst Haeckel and Gilbert & George will also be on view.
His inspirations and his stages work
Christian Louboutin will be the main character of the entire first half of the exhibition, dedicated to his inspirations and his staged work. More than 300 creations by this shoe guru can be admired. “Christian Louboutin, The Exhibition[nist]” is not the only exhibition dedicated to a designer that will mark the start of the summer season. In July, the Brooklyn Museum in New York will pay tribute to the late Virgil Abloh while Elsa Schiaparelli will be at the he honor of a unique presentation at the MAD in Paris Exhibition
