From July 13 to 17, the “History in Bricks” exhibition will unveil Jean de La Fontaine ’s Fables in Lego form at the Palais Vivienne.

A tribute to Jean de La Fontaine

A beautiful tribute to the famous storyteller and fabulist Jean de La Fontaine is being prepared in Paris. Come and discover some twenty fables presented in LEGO® bricks, representing paintings inspired by illustrations by great artists, sketches and life-size sculptures. You will be able to marvel at a completely new interpretation of your favorite works by La Fontaine. For 4 days, the Palais Vivienne will host around thirty sculptures representing as many of these timeless fables. A majestic lion, a threatening wolf or even a needy ant: each of the most emblematic characters born from the poet’s pen will stand before your eyes from the top of their thousands of stacked bricks.

Millions of bricks and hours of assembly

To achieve this performance, it took millions of bricks and hours of assembly. Without forgetting a strong dose of patience! The result is nevertheless worth the detour. Visitors will be able to observe these impressive reproductions in an ideal context. These paintings and sketches offer themselves as a tribute to the famous author. You will discover in particular the Raven and the Fox, the Hare and the Tortoise, the Lion and the Rat, without forgetting the Grasshopper and the Ant. A beautiful playful and above all family exhibition, which will not fail to please young and old alike.
