A 100% French film movie
The Wingwomen. This is the name of a 100% French movie which has captured the hearts of millions of viewers around the world. Directed by Mélanie Laurent for Netflix, the film also welcomes the French actress and director among its cast, where she plays one of the main roles. To accompany her in this crazy adventure, she surrounds herself with other well-known faces of French cinema whose talent no longer needs to be proven : Adèle Exarchopoulos, Isabelle Adjani, but also the revelation Manon Bresch.

In the top 10 of the Netflix rankings
The plot follows two best friends, Carole and Alex (played by Mélanie Laurent and Adèle Exarchopoulos), who also turn out to be outstanding burglars, employed for high-risk missions by the charismatic “Godmother” (played by Isabelle Adjani). But, tired of this existence on the run, and eager to regain their freedom, they accept one last mission : the theft of a painting of great value. To do this, they must team up with a newcomer, Sam, played by Manon Bresch. And obviously, nothing is going to go as planned.
A movie about women, action and comedy
In less than a week after its release, The Wingwomen climbed into the top 10 of the Netflix rankings in 86 countries and to date has accumulated a total of 18.5 million views and 35.7 million hours of viewing. The movie The Wingwomen, dominated the ranking of the most viewed non-English movies on Netflix. The accounts established by the streaming platform focus on the period from October 30 to November 5, four days after the release of the feature film. The 40-year-old actress also thanked Netflix for allowing her to make an action film with women in the main roles. “I think that cinema would never have had the idea of putting in the substantial budget so that we in France could have a movie about women, action and comedy,” she told AFP. Abroad, the film is known under the title Wingwomen. It dominates the Netflix rankings in many countries like Brazil, Chile and Venezuela, Greece, Spain and Italy, Morocco and Kenya, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
