A biopic of the creator of the Eiffel tower
The one we are impatient to see is “Eiffel“, the biopic of Gustave Eiffel, played by one of our most talented French actors: Romain Duris. Here is the synosis: On the occasion of the anniversary of the start of the construction of the Eiffel Tower, precisely on January 28, 1887, the film Eiffel unveils its teaser poster, while waiting for a first trailer. The distributor Pathé has also postponed the film’s release by 2 months: the feature film will be released on May 5, 2021 (instead of March 10, 2021, the date initially planned).
Romain Duris as Gustave Eiffel
Worn by Romain Duris, in the costume of Gustave Eiffel, the film is freely inspired by the life of the builder and the ambitious creation of the French monument. When Eiffel begins the Tower in his name, he has just finished his collaboration on the Statue of Liberty, and is then at the peak of his career. The French government wants him to create something spectacular for the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris, but Eiffel is only interested in the metropolitan project. Everything changes when he crosses paths with his youthful love. Their forbidden relationship inspires him to change the Paris skyline forever
