The news of the Daft Punk‘s separation had shocked the whole music world. One of the band members, Thomas Bangalter returns with a new artistic project.
Thomas Bangalter has chosen to take a different path from that of Daft Punk. Indeed, he collaborated this summer with the national opera of Bordeaux for the show “Mythologies”, a ballet choreographed and directed by Angelin Preljocaj, for which he signs the entire music. An original creation that certainly won over the musician, who was entrusted with the composition of the entire ballet music, with the assistance of the National Orchestra of Bordeaux Aquitaine, under the direction of Romain Dumas.
While this is his first announced project since the duo’s disbandment, it is not the first time that Thomas Bangalter has operated solo. Among his feats of arms: the musical score for the film Irréversible by Gaspar Noé in 2002 or the signing of two titles for Climax, the latest film by the same director.
