The Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte celebrates Easter with its largest egg hunt in France, from April 16, 2022 to April 18, 2022.

A giant treasure hunt
Every year during the Easter weekend, the teams of the private castle go out of their way to amuse the little ones and challenge the grown-ups with thousands of chocolates hidden in the 33-hectare landscaped garden. This year, visitors are invited to walk the paths of the French garden in the footsteps of illustrious characters from the Grand Siècle through a giant treasure hunt. In turn, the children will have to take up the playful and participative challenges of Jean de La Fontaine, Vatel or Charles Le Brun to validate their parchment. At the end of their course, they will be able to access at the final egg hunt, supervised by André Le Nôtre, promising Léonidas chocolates to all the participants !
Golden eggs to win tickets to candlelit evenings
During each of the two child egg hunts (0-6 years and 7-11 years), chickens will be hidden in the gardens: find them and win the P’tites Poules popup album: Jean who sleeps and Jean who reads! (1 golden hen per hunt, every 30 minutes) NEW ! Teenagers (12-18 years old) will be able to discover an egg hunt at their level under form of orienteering in the groves of the estate! Departure of two egg hunts for children and teenagers every 30 minutes. Adults will also have their own hunt and will be able to win chocolate eggs. In Vaux-le-Vicomte where Louis XIV, the Sun King, came in person, a giant game of “1, 2, Sun King” led by comedians will disturb their competition, forcing them to stand still when the Sun is watching them! The quickest and cunning ones finding the golden egg will win tickets to the candlelit evenings of the castle. Departure of an adult egg hunt, every 30 minutes.
